Pendulum clock
A pendulum clock is a clock whose time standard is a pendulum, the so-called perpendicular. It was invented around 1640 by Galileo Galilei, but built only by his son Vincenzo.
Clocks in the baroque or neo-classical style and with repetition are also called pendules.
