Audemars Piguet - Swiss watch manufacture
In 1875 Audemars Piguet is founded by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in the Swiss Jura village Le Brassus. The company is the oldest manufacture of the haute horlogerie, which has never been sold by their founding families. Today, like before, the manufacture offers mechanical watches with complications, precious jewelry watches as well as a jewelry range.
Initially Jules-Louis Audemars adopts the technical direction, while Edward-Auguste Piguet is responsible for the commercial activities. The focus is on manufacturing high-quality, mostly complicated pocket watches in the tradition of the Vallée de Joux, which are produced under their own or a foreign name.
