Nomos Tangente is a wristwatch by Nomos with manual winding.

Company start with an immediate success model

The company Nomos owes its good start and its fast growing reputation their first model called Tangente, which is a true classic of the modern watch. Its appearance is shaped in a decisive way by the designer Susanne Günther. In its basic concept of a clear, factual, easy to read and functional watch flowed impulses both from the Bauhaus and also from the Deutscher Werkbund - the latter was located not far from Glashütte, in Hellerau, a town near Dresden. The design, which is most consistent in every detail, has been crowned with numerous design awards.

With Peseux calibre (till 2005)

In its first series the watch is driven by a proven manual winding movement, the calibre 7001 by Peseux. The ebauche movement delivered from Switzerland is revised considerably at the Glashütte workshop of Nomos and so much refined that, with the Glashütte solar grinding called Langeleist-Perlage, it unfolds its whole beauty - also the anchor cock and the crown wheel are provided with perlage. In another series, the surfaces of the movements are gilded. In addition, blued screws, which provide a further upgrading of the appearance. The movement refined in such way is called Nomos 1 T.

Tangente with manufacture movement (since 2005)

Meanwhile the watch is equipped with the manual winding movement Nomos Alpha, a Nomos-own manufacture movement with hours and minutes indication and small seconds at the “6 ”.
