The 52000 family of calibres is a series of automatic manufacture movements produced by IWC since 2015.
The 52000 calibre family was introduced in 2015 to reduce the company's reliance on ebauche movements from ETA. It is an evolution of the previous calibre, IWC 5000. As high-end movements, they feature bi-directional pawl winding using IWC's Pellaton system. The automatic winding system powers two barrels, giving an impressive 7 days of power reserve.
All movements in the family beat at 28,800 A/h and have a power reserve of 168 hours.
