Sports chronograph by Breitling with 24-hours indication
On the occasion of cooperation with the car manufacturer Bentley (Breitling for Bentley), Breitling developed with this model so far its largest chronograph. By moving the attachment of the Speed bracelet into the case inlet, where it connects at the lugs with a jetty, the watch fits easily on most wrists.
The model Breitling Bentley Le Mans was limited to 1,000 pieces and features (based on the duration of the race) a 24-hour indication. As a reminder of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the bezel is perlaged like the dashboard of the Bentley racing cars, which were winning between 1924 and 1930.
Also aimed at the automotive sport, the chronograph Bentley Le Mans is equipped with a variable tachometer, which is available in this form only by Breitling. It is a device that can be used to determine the average speed, regardless of the elapsed time, the covered distance or the reached speed. The tachometer, similar to a slide rule, is operated by turning the outer gear rack bezel, which in turn sets the engine and axle into a motion, which is transmitted to the inner bezel. In this way an accurate reading of the stopped speeds is possible.
