Andreas Strehler

Andreas Strehler is a Swiss watchmaker active since 1994.

Andreas Strehler was born and raised near Winterthur, Switzerland. He graduated from the School of Horology in Solothurn in 1991 and began working at Renaud & Papi before setting up his own shop in 1994. He produced repeater movements for Audemars Piguet (owner of Renaud & Papi), worked in restoration, and began developing for other brands. He exhibited at Baselworld in 1998 with the AHCI.

Strehler made his name developing movement technologies for the re-started H. Moser & Cie and contributing to Cal. C. 125 for Chronoswiss. He also created the ML 106 chronograph movement for Maurice Lacroix and the perpetual calendar complication for the H. Moser & Cie Perpetual 1. He is given credit as the main designer on the Opus 7 for the Harry Winston Opus collection and collaborated with Kari Voutilainen to create the Chapter Three "Reveal" for Maître du Temps.

In November, 2006 H. Moser & Cie. won one of the most prestigious prizes in the Swiss watch industry, the Best Complication prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, for the Strehler-designed Perpetual 1. The Perpetual 1 also won the “Over € 25,000” category at the Goldene Unruh for 2010. In 2013, Andreas Strehler received the prestigious Prix Gaïa “Artisanat-Creation” award.
