====== Meis, Reinhard ======
**Reinhard Meis** is a German watchmaker and technical writer in the area of historical watches. He was born Februar 9th, [[1940]] in Koppelow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany).

Since [[1991]] Reinhard Meis was technical advisor and product designer for the [[LMH]] (Les Manufactures Horologeres), to which belonged the companies [[IWC]], [[Jaeger-LeCoultre]] and [[Lange Uhren GmbH]]. After the restart of [[A. Lange & Söhne]] he contributed significantly to the constructional development of the "new" Lange watches.

In [[2018]], Reinhard Meis received the prestigious [[Prix Gaïa]] Histoire-Recherches award.
