This sporty and elegant model was presented at the [[Watches & Wonders Geneva]] [[2022]]. It was created to commemorate the participation of Laurent Ferrier and his partner François Servanin in the 24 hours of Le Mans on 9 June [[1979]]. In this race they finished third, just behind a certain Paul Newman. Ferrier tells:
In watchmaking as well as during our many racing adventures, I have always been very attentive to the slightest sensations. Just like the vibrations of the steering wheel, the roar of the engine, the screeching of the tyres, the heat of the leather of my gloves or even the intensity of the speed keeping me firmly in my seat, our Sport Auto had to arouse true emotions. This model shows a very subtle interplay between firm and rounded curves enlivened by a few countercurves and so creates a perfectly balanced design. The dials shows different shades of blue, combined with an opaline finish. The watch is driven by the automatic in-house calendar movement LF 270.01. The micro-rotor is equipped with a 950 platinum oscillating weight, placed directly between the plate and the bridge to ensure ideal stability and maximised winding power. This results in a power reserve of more than 72 hours.
