The **Prince** was a wristwatch model from [[Rolex]] produced between 1928 and 1940.

Launched in [[1928]], the Prince became well known not only because of its then-unusual rectangular case shape but also for its precision and elegance. With a large [[subdial]] for [[small seconds]], it gave a [[Dual Dial]] arrangement. it was much easier to read elapsed seconds using the Prince, a feature appealing to doctors, so this type of watch was often referred to as a "[[Doctor's Watch]]". The built-in [[Gruen 877|Calibre 877]] from [[Aegler]] or [[Alpina Gruen Guild|Alpina Gruen]] met all expectations in terms of precision, and thus the Prince was the first watch produced in large numbers to receive a [[Chronometer]] certificate.
